1 John 1:3-4

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.

Isn't is amazing that our fellowship with God has been restored? We had completely lost this joy due to our sin and rebellion. But even as we were dying, God sent his Son to be our brother, to take all that sin upon Himself, to wash us in His holy blood.

Sometimes fellowship can be a thorny issue and we feel uncomfortable as we deal with the situations that arise. Yet, here the apostle John uses the word JOY! To agree with another believer in heart and mind, to be one in Christ Jesus, to worship together in truth - this is joy!

Thinking about Colossians 1:6 this afternoon -"All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth." Sisters, let's keep proclaiming Him through our words and lives!
